Personal data we collect from website visitors
No personal data is saved when you visit our website to browse and read about BNGP’s programmes and services.
If you opt to complete a form for obtaining an estimate of biodiversity net gain (BNG) unit purchases, or to contact us, or to comment on content, we will store:
• Name
• Telephone number
• Email address
The data requested is collected for the purposes of:
1. Responding to your enquiries;
2. Communicating with you in relation to the services you request through the bng.eco website. Some communications maybe optional, for example newsletters and informational emails.
Data are stored and processed using secure systems operated by us and our trusted service providers.
Where personal data is processed outside the United Kingdom by these trusted service providers, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Access is limited to authorised staff who require it to perform their duties.
We do not sell your personal data. We may share personal data with trusted service providers who process data on our behalf (such as hosting, email and infrastructure providers) under appropriate contractual safeguards.
If requested to do so, we may provide usage details to a regulator or government authority.
We keep your uploaded data and details you have provided for up to 12 months, unless we must keep it longer to meet legal obligations.
By email to info@bng.eco you may request to have your data deleted subject to the applicable Retention Policy; restrict or object to processing of your personal data, subject to the Retention Policy; receive a copy of your personal data in portable form.
We will respond to such requests within fifteen business days.
